This policy describes the released Caught You Swiping iPhone app.
Caught You Swiping displays media you select, an optional surprise, and optional reaction photos. It has no advertising, analytics SDK, app login account, or developer-operated media server. The separate marketing accounts and publishing tools are not integrated into the app and do not receive your app photos.
Selected media and saved sets
Apple’s picker gives the app only the photos, videos and Live Photos you choose. Caught You Swiping does not request access to browse your whole photo library. It stores local copies, thumbnails, playback resources, their order, your chosen surprise and settings. Copies may retain information embedded in the source media; the metadata-removal guarantee below applies to reaction-photo and reaction-card exports, not every selected original.
Your current setup survives relaunches. You can explicitly save up to 20 named sets, then load, rename, duplicate or delete them. Sets can refer to the same local files. Removing an item from one set does not destroy a copy still used by another set or the current setup. Removing app copies never deletes originals from Apple Photos. App media and saved setups are excluded from device backups.
Videos and Live Photo motion are played locally and start muted. Playing an imported clip may play audio already contained in that clip; the app does not record microphone audio. Playback pauses when leaving its page, when a surprise appears, or when the app is interrupted.
Sharing media into Caught You Swiping
The Caught You Swiping Share extension receives only items you explicitly share from Photos or another compatible app. It stages copies in an on-device container shared by the extension and the main app. Open Caught You Swiping to review the staged items and explicitly add them to the current selection. This app-to-extension container is not a cloud service or public album. Import does not start a gallery or camera automatically.
Staged batches expire after 24 hours when the inbox is checked; this is cleanup during app use, not a promise of deletion at an exact clock time. Shared Live Photos can arrive as still images; use the in-app picker to preserve supported paired motion.
One-session mode
When you enable one-session mode, exiting the handoff clears the current selection and removes app copies no longer referenced elsewhere. If the app is terminated during the handoff, cleanup runs on its next launch. Named sets, custom surprise artwork and reaction photos are retained independently and are not cleared by this option. Originals in Photos remain untouched. This feature is not a secure-erasure guarantee.
Optional protected exit
You can require device-owner authentication before returning from the gallery to setup or protected reaction review. Apple handles Face ID, supported biometrics or the device passcode through its system authentication interface. Caught You Swiping receives the authentication result; it does not receive or store your biometric template or passcode. Cancelling or failing authentication keeps the current protected flow in place. This controls access inside Caught You Swiping and does not lock the whole phone.
Optional reaction camera and cards
Reaction capture is off initially. The owner grants camera permission, and the viewer separately agrees before each handoff. Viewer agreement is never stored in a named set or reused for another handoff. Declining leaves the gallery usable without capture. When agreed, the front camera is visibly active while the viewer looks and takes one still at the first surprise, then stops. Leaving or interrupting the gallery stops capture. The app does not record video or request microphone permission.
Reaction photos stay on the device and can be reviewed, kept, deleted or deliberately shared. The reaction-card composer uses only the reviewed reaction image, an editable caption/reveal and an optional brand mark. It does not insert your selected-gallery media. Create export makes a local JPEG; a separate Share action sends it to a destination you choose. Reaction-photo and card exports are re-encoded without original camera metadata.
Local card-export drafts are removed with their source reaction or cleaned up after 24 hours when the app starts or another export is made. This does not remove copies already shared to another app. Caught You Swiping does not automatically upload or post photos. A selected sharing destination has its own privacy practices. Share reaction images only with the person’s agreement.
Presets and purchases
Gentle, Spicy and Kittens only choices are local preferences. Gentle curates included surprises; it does not moderate your custom text or paid-pack content and is not a parental-control or age-verification service.
The app is free to download and has no ads. Apple processes subscriptions, eligible introductory trials, optional one-time pack purchases, and restoration. The U.S. subscription is $1.99 per month after an eligible three-day free trial; each optional pack is $1.99. Apple’s purchase screen shows current pricing and trial eligibility.
Caught You Swiping checks Apple-verified transaction and subscription status to determine access. It does not use a developer-operated billing server and does not receive payment-card details. Apple handles trial eligibility, charges, renewal and cancellation. Lapsed access does not prevent managing, exporting or deleting your local media.
Your controls and support
Remove selected copies, delete saved sets and reactions, turn capture off, or revoke camera permission in iPhone Settings. Deleting the app removes its local app data. Copies deliberately shared elsewhere must be managed in those destinations.

Do not send passwords, verification codes or private photos. Support correspondence is separate from automatic in-app collection, of which there is none in the app.
